Volunteering

Warrandyte Fire Brigade encourages and welcomes new members to CFA. Brigade members come from all walks of life and each provides valuable service to our community.

Are there skill and fitness requirements?

You do not need any experience or qualifications to join the Brigade, but you need common sense and enthusiasm. We will provide you with the skills you need to perform the role.

What is the time commitment?

In addition to fire calls, the Brigade trains twice a week on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.

What will training involve?

Before a Brigade member is able to attend fire calls they are required to complete minimum skills training and a 6 month probationary period. Once this is achieved our members have the opportunity to attend regular Brigade training that maintains skills and develops new ones. All Brigade members receive nationally recognized and accredited training.

Are there non fire fighting roles?

In addition to fire fighting, there are many other ways you can support the Brigade.

How do I join Warrandyte Fire Brigade?

To register your interest with Warrandyte Fire Brigade freecall 1800 232 636 or visit www.cfa.vic.gov.au. A brigade member will then contact you to discuss your membership.
